Ingredients
4 salmon fillets (about 150g each)
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 garlic clove, minced
1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
1 tablespoon green onions, chopped (for garnish)
1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Prepare the Marinade: In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger until well combined.
Marinate the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or zip-top bag. Pour the marinade over the salmon, coating each fillet well. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes (up to 30 minutes for a stronger flavour).
Cook the Salmon: Heat a non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Remove salmon from the marinade and place in the skillet, skin-side down. Cook for 3–4 minutes until the skin is crispy, then flip and cook for another 3–4 minutes, basting with extra marinade, until the salmon is cooked through.
Serve: Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve with steamed rice and stir-fried vegetables for a complete meal.
