Lamb and Merideth Goats Cheese Gozleme Pastry Squares

Enjoy a delicious and easy-to-make dish with our lamb and Meredith Goats Cheese gozleme pastry squares. Featuring a savoury filling of seasoned lamb, crumbled feta, and spinach, all wrapped in crispy filo pastry, these gozleme squares are perfect for any meal. Serve with lemon wedges for a refreshing finish.


This recipe for lamb and feta gozleme pastry squares should make about 8-10 squares, depending on the size you cut the pastry and the amount of filling you use for each square. Adjust the portion sizes accordingly if you need more or fewer servings.


Ingredients:

  • 250g ground lamb

  • 100g Meredith Goats Cheese

  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 100g spinach, chopped

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • Salt and Aleppo pepper, to taste

  • 400g filo pastry (or puff pastry)

  • Lemon wedges, Greek Style Yoghurt for serving


Instructions:

       Prepare the Filling:

  • Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a pan over medium heat.

  • Add the onion and garlic, and sauté until soft.

  • Add the ground lamb and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.

  • Stir in the spinach and cook until wilted.

  • Season with salt and pepper.

  • Remove from heat and let cool slightly before mixing in the Meredith Goats Cheese Assemble the Gozleme:

  • Lay out a sheet of filo pastry and brush with olive oil. Place another sheet on top and brush again with oil. Repeat with one more sheet (3 sheets total).

  • Place a spoonful of the lamb and cheese mixture in the centre of the pastry sheet.

  • Fold the pastry over the filling to create a square parcel, sealing the edges with a little water if necessary.


        Cook:

  • Heat a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add a little olive oil.

  • Cook the gozleme parcels for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown, cooked through and crispy.


        Serve:

  • Serve warm with lemon wedges and Greek-style Yogurt on the side.
